November is an important month here at Croft Printing because it is when inspectors from the BRC Global Packaging Standards visit our premises in Ruddington to carry out their audit of our factory, our label production processes and our management systems.
We are once again delighted to announce that Croft Printing has again passed the inspection and has been awarded BRC/IOP High Hygiene Grade AA accreditation. This accreditation is also recognised globally by the Institute of Packaging (IOP).
The BRC/IOP Global Standard for Packaging is designed to assist packaging manufacturers and suppliers like Croft Printing to adopt manufacturing best practices and support this with the availability of quality management systems and information that demonstrate high levels of hygiene and cleanliness.
A BRC Audit, or BRC Food Safety Audit, is the British Retail Consortium’s official assessment of a food manufacturer’s adherence to the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety.
Gaining the accreditation means that we are able to fully guarantee the safety of our self adhesive labels and proven that Croft Printing has fulfilled of all the legal and hygienic requirements required by the standard.
Commenting, Marilyn Briggs said, “In order to continually improve our BRC packing accreditation grade we invested in our factory and installed new machinery. We have gone further in 2019 by upgrading our management information systems. BRC/IOP packaging accreditation is important for our business as it signifies that we follow the quality, safety and operational criteria required to ensure that our customers can also fulfil their legal obligations and provide protection for the end consumer.”
